The insulating core is designed to reduce sound passing to the rest of the home.

Selection guide

Selecting a home theater or media room door

Distinguish sound isolation from absorption

A home theater door is one part of a room's acoustic design. The Phonotamburato® core is designed to reduce sound passing to adjoining spaces, while Dot's micro-perforated surface helps absorb reverberation inside the screening room. These functions are not interchangeable. No tested dB or STC rating is claimed here; involve an acoustic specialist if your project requires a quantified level of isolation.

Consider the entrance from both sides

Compare the door against the hallway palette as well as the room's darker finishes. Plain offers a discreet surface; Fade brings digitally printed decoration and Limet introduces mineral texture. Discuss seals, hardware, frame interfaces and the selected opening type as a complete assembly. Flush-to-wall or hidden options need model-specific confirmation, particularly where wall finishes continue across the entrance.
