Efficient circulation

Discuss sliding, bi-fold and bypass options where a swinging leaf would compete with furniture or circulation.

Private rooms off open plans

An insulating core helps reduce sound passing between shared living areas and adjoining rooms.

Selection guide

Planning interior doors for an apartment or penthouse

Keep circulation and furniture in view

In an apartment, a door swing can compete with a dining table, wardrobe or narrow passage. Review the plan with the door shown open, not just closed. Sliding, bi-fold and bypass options may be worth discussing, but their hardware and model compatibility must be confirmed. A flush-to-wall appearance describes how the entrance meets the wall; it does not by itself resolve circulation.

Coordinate doors with the larger interior

Plain's smooth surface and Line's grooves provide different ways to connect entrances with adjacent joinery. Limet introduces a mineral texture, while Focus adds engraved geometry. Check physical samples alongside wall finishes and cabinetry, and review bedroom separation where private rooms open off shared living spaces. For multi-unit developments, plan repeated details through a coordinated condominium door schedule.
